We've been eating oatmeal almost everyday for breakfast since we could remember (Thanks Mom). Oatmeal or Porridge is a type of cereal most commonly eaten for breakfast. Now oatmeal is pretty easy to make. This recipe is a basic for rolled. I always use almond milk but feel free to use your favorite nut milk. I aways use some sort of nut as a topping to give my oats texture. But go ahead!  Get creative with your toppings. The most important thing about toppings is to keep them healthy!


Almond Milk Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 Cups of Oats
  • 1 Cup of Almond Milk (sub in nut milk of choice)
  • 1tbs of Agave

Toppings:

  • Berries
  • Fresh Figs
  • Dried Cranberries
  • Banana
  • Nuts
  • Bee Pollen
  • Chia Seeds
  • Hemp Seeds

Instructions:

Pretty easy process. Combine your oats and milk in a pot. Cook in low to medium heat. Once milk starts to thicken up add your agave. Remember to stir occasionally. Once creamy and thickened. Serve and top with your favorite toppings or you can eat as is.
