When I was making my 2-Ingredient Pancakes I def contemplated smearing maple syrup all over them. However, I remembered I made this mango apple sauce. Very childlike of me but homemade applesauce is so yummy. I could snack on it at ALL times. I love making it to avoid all the artificial sugar and additives that store bought some comes with.
This is a great standalone snack to eat, as a garnish, or just add some nuts for a more filling snack.

- 2 apples (cut and cored)
- 2 mangos (pealed, pitted, and diced into pieces)
- 1 cup of water
- juice of half a lemon
- vanilla extract or cinammon (optional)
- Agave or raw honey (optional)
In a sauce pan combine mangos, apples, water and lemon juice. Let it boil then lower fire to a simmer. Add vanilla extract and/or cinnamon stir and cover. Let it simmer for about half an hour. Be sure to stir occasionally. Depending on how sweet your apples and mangos are you won't need to sweeten it. But if you must, sweeten to taste.
Remove from stove and let cool for a few minutes. Add this mix into your blender and puree until consistency of your choice is reached. I recommend storing in fridge to let cool then serving.
