Avocado Chocolate Pudding

"All Avocado Everything" is our motto.  Snacking is great but sometimes that sweet tooth kicks in mid-afternoon. Before we indulge in empty, sugary treats , we love to make this amazing chocolate pudding. Not only is it vegan, but insanely quick to make. We get the sweet tooth fix and the pleasure of it being healthy. 

The avocado makes this super creamy. Avocados are filled with healthy fats; keeping you satisfied for a longer period of time. They are also a great source of calcium and vitamin k.

Just like avocado, cacao is filled with antioxidants. We all know Cacao is filled with serotonin and other mood boosters. For those of you who happen to be anemic like me, indulge in cacao, as it happens to be the highest plant-based source in iron.

Now before you turn the page on the avocado x chocolate combo, give it a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how addicting this sweet snack becomes.

 

 


Avocado Chocolate Pudding

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Medium Avocado
  • 1/3 cup of agave nectar 
  • 150 grams of Unsweeted Cacao
  • 1/4 tbs of Raw ground vanilla (vanilla extract is also okay to use)
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk

 

DIRECTIONS

Peel the avocado and remove the pit. Place avocado, sweetener and cacao in blender. Pulse a few times then slowly add the milk. Blend until smooth and creamy.  We recommend chilling before serving but you can serve as is. If you love a little texture, like we do, serve fruit/nut toppings.
