In love with the coco

As you may have noticed, team Menos Mas is a huge fan of all coconut products.  I was just in Thailand and fully indulged in the glory of coconut water.

I drink it frequently, especially after a workout. Coconut water, not to be confused with milk, comes directly from young coconut (green). Raw Coconut water can be found in small bottles in supermarket.  But careful canned advertised waters and other kinds that are unfortunately full of sugar and filled with additives. Be sure to read the label as the only ingredient should be 100% all natural coconut water, not from concentrated fruit. Of course best source still remains to consume directly from the fruit itself.

Coconut water is full of vitamins, electrolytes and essential minerals:

Potassium: Regulates the acidity of the body, promotes the proper functioning of muscles, including permits to fight against cramps. It lowers blood pressure and is therefore ideal for treating hypertension.

Calcium: To mineralize the bones, it also works at the muscle contraction and blood clotting.

Phosphorus: Also regulates blood pH, it's an important component of bones and teeth.

After a workout, it's the ultimate energy drink to consume. You should know that when we sweat, we lose essential minerals. Coconut water allows a perfect re-hydration and replenish all thats lost during a workout.

Some even found anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties. It also calms the digestive disorders. In short, shoutout to coconut water, one of the best way to keep your body hydrated and healthy!
