2 Turmeric Masks to Exfoliate and Brighten Skin

Turmeric has so many great benefits. Just like most things we discuss, we can reap those benefits by eating them or like this, by letting the skin soak it all in.  On the skin, turmeric is great for acne and eczema. It alleviates inflammation, redness and softens skin.

Worried about staining?

We recommend using caution as turmeric can stain your precious goods. However on the skin, it should not stain. At most, you might stain your fingertips but it easily comes off. After these mask you'll have an amazing glow sans the oompa loompa skin. 

 


Turmeric Honey Mask

Honey's antibacterial properties are heavenly on the skin, not only nourishing and moisturizing dry skin. Its antioxidant radicals serve to protect against anti aging. For oily skin, add lemon juice to remove excess oil and balance skin. This is a fresh combination that will leave the skin gentle and smooth. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric 
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • Juice of 1/4 lemon (OPTIONAL)

Instructions:

Combine ingredients in a small bowl. Apply a thin layer to your face for 20 minutes or until mask hardens. Rinse off in the shower, scrubbing gently to remove. Apply your favorite moisturizer.

 

Turmeric Yogurt Mask

Try this yogurt mask for soothing, moisturizing and cooling the skin. Yogurt is filled with probiotic and the lactic acid in yogurt dissolves dead skin cells. It helps moisturize, fight acne, prevent premature aging, relieve sunburn, and reduce discoloration. For oily skin, add lemon juice to remove excess oil and balance skin.

  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon of Yogurt
  • Juice of 1/4 lemon (OPTIONAL)
